Lolitas in San Francisco Japantown [September 8]


MEETUP UPDATE!!

Meet-up time: 11 AM, 11:30 AM, OR 12 PM
Leaving time: I will have to leave by 5:30 PM. When do you want to?
Meet at: Miyako Hotel [1625 Post Street -- On the corner of Laguna in San Francisco]
Any other ideas?

Saturday, September 8, [info]manmadememories [a Lolita friend] & I are planning a meet-up in San Francisco's Japantown.

[ -- September 8 just happens to be the Aki Matsuri [Fall Festival] in Japantown. Granted, there's going to be a lot of people in Japantown on this Saturday. Is everyone still up for the additional fun? -- ]

We will:

    • Eat yummy food at Mifune or one of your favorite restaurants.
    • Buy crepes & taiyaki & yummy tummy sweets.
    • Take pictures at the cute Japanese photo booths.
    • Take more pictures.
    • Search for where the new Baby store will be.
    • Adventure on the 38 possibly and go downtown.
    • & Of course, take millions of pictures.

Though this is early notice, I want everyone to check their schedules and try reserve this Saturday. It will be lovely fun, & it's about time some Lolitas prance around Jtown like we own the place. xD

Please invite your friends & boyfriends [even the non-Lolita ones.] This event is open for all.

yum! Mifune has the best udon in the world! bad service though haha! Now, what is this business about looking for where the new baby store will be...Where did you hear any rumors about this? I feel out of the loop! I probably will be working that day as long as I am still at MAC :-( hate my job! Wish me luck on my new job search. Maybe one day I'll manage this mysterious new BTSSB store.

And a Baby, the Stars Shine Bright store is coming to San Francisco around February - March 2008. And apparently it's going to be in Japantown Center. :3 I've been trying to figure out where. Right now, I have my bets on that empty store next to the Sanrio store & the store that sells all the cute anime & Japanese stuff.

okay. i definitely want to go.

the only thing is ... i'm going to be driving four hours from san luis obispo and reeeeeeally don't want to drive home late on the highway. (long night car trips make me sleepy!)

sooo, i would really, really appreciate it if someone could put me up for the night on a couch or something. any takers?

i can give you my e-mail or phone and we can chat ... just to ensure that i'm not a crazy person or a terrorist. ^o^

I just need to tell you ahead of time that they're probably going to have a few streets blocked off, so try & find parking maybe a few blocks away. I wouldn't count on the Japantown parking garage. It's going to be PACKED.

What time would you all like to meet? Is 11 too early? The festival in Japantown starts roughly at 12 PM, so do we want to get there earlier?

And is meeting at the Miyako Hotel any problem? Do any of you have better ideas?
